Great effort from Sao Paulo promoters

Well the actual race was a bit of a bust, I tuned in on the Sunday via Sky Sports HD4 and didn’t see a lot of racing due to the torrential rain. At some points the cars were spinning so badly (and seemingly harmlessly) I had to stifle a laugh, which I don’t think is the desired effect from a top line motorsport series.

Anyway, amidst all the hilarity, I did notice one thing. The Sao Paulo organisers had put up one HELL of a good facility. They deserve full credit too for responding to last year’s difficulties with the track surface and fully resurfacing the whole thing. In the end it was futile as the continual rain prevented a proper race.

It must be heartbreaking for the people who put so much effort in to the event, and I hope their efforts are rewarded with a fantastic race next year.
